Hi fi5ke, welcome to my channel. if your fans (daisy chained) draws more than 1A, yes, it is more ideal to use the Noctua fan hub and controller and to provided more stable ampere to your fans. As to lower down using the controller. Yes you can do that but on pump, I advise to run either full speed or 80% consistently. This is to avoid early wear and tear on the pump motor.

​@@KleoYan Thanks mate, I actually wanna run without the Lian Li USB, Sata and rgb, so only the pump and then the fans separate controlled by the motherboard. I actually don't know how much amp the 3 fans use (the p28 use 0,75a for 3). I was just thinking if I run the pump on the sata cable only (not using the Noctua controller), then the pump gets full sata power and the motherboard stille see's the pwm data. It couldn't hurt? Maybe more stable current? I'm gonna run it 100% anyways.. but maybe the fans use more Amp than the pump cuz they are 3000rpm vs p28 2600rpm 🤣

If you can see the controller, download the actual firmware and redo the firmware again, if not, kindly contact Lian Li support to have it replace. lian-li.com/contact-us/

Hi Jay, welcome to my channel. Did you try testing the fans individually? plug one at a time to the motherboard fan header and check your uefi / bios to see if it's able to detect the RPM of those fans.

Hi Phedon Rojo, welcome to my channel the vrm fan on the liquid aio will be warm air. The idea is to blow and sweep off the heat from vrm heatsink even the air taken from the vrm fans are warm but it does not impact the thermal from going up.

If your Universal Serial Bus Devices under the device manager of Windows is giving you exclamation mark "!" it means that your windows did detect a device but do not have the proper driver chipset to install it. I would advise to change the USB Port and try again.

HI Craig DJ BULLER, welcome to my channel. You can only set to DC mode and depending on your board if it allows you to have a custom fan curve on your 3pin connector fans. Mine only allows me to set at a fix voltage in DC mode ... example low temperature below 40°C to run fix at 7volts , mid temperature below 75°C to run at fix 9volts and at high temperature above 75°C to fun fix at 12volts

Hi Akumu, welcome back. you will need to plug the Sata cable and the USB cable from the controller, that's all is needed to control using L-Connect 3 app.

@@KleoYan Yeah, perhaps if the cable is 500mm or more in length should be ok otherwise you can be stuck with the cable dangling across the motherboard

Hi kourhu senagaki, welcome to my channel. you can place 3 x 140mm fans at the bottom and still having 2 x 120mm at the rear, but be mindful that your motherboard must be installed in Low mode and not High mode for you to have 2 x 120mm fans at the rear.

Hi Jorge A, welcome back. The radiator fan is connected directly to your motherboard fan header, you will need to either go into your motherboard bios/uefi or to use your motherboard utility application control your radiator fan speed.

You can't control the fan rgb or pwm. here is a guide which might aid you. ruclips.net/video/CgvuUFeff8U/видео.htmlsi=whIwm5QWj6aaGOfz and as for your ROG Strix motherboard, so long there is a connection to the fan header call CPU_FAN , you will be fine or you can disable it by ignoring the detection, the warning message will be gone. you can do this in your UEFI under fan monitoring. just set CPU_FAN to ignore.

The OS detect correctly the GA 2 trinity, i plugged the fans to the pump, then i plugged the pump to CPU_Fan it worked well i can control RGB with the motherboard program, but with L connect it sais no fan products detected, i thought it's weird, i installed the 1.75 version and it seems to work better but still there is the same message no fan products detected,so i don't know if im plugging it correctly or im doing a mistake, thank you in advance ps: i have Lian Li GA II 240 trinity not infinity SL it's without the UNI fan

@@charonsybel the right way is to connect as according to Lian Li's instruction. The issue with your mobo is it has a build in function where by if no fans are connected to the CPU_FAN header or no signal after if you did plug your fans in.. you will get this prompt. in your case yes you can do that too. infact is better to control your fan directly from the motherboard (PWM) and leave only the argb to be controlled by L-Connect 3 app.

Hi UNISTAR, welcome to my channel. I will do this as follow For Liquid AIO LE520, I will have this as one set, radiator fans will plug to CPU_FAN header of your motherboard. For the case fants which you have 2 at the front and 1 at the rear, daisy chained them with the extenstion cable provided. This is another set, plug it to CHA_FAN or SYS_FAN. as for the argb. you dont need to have a hub. just get a splitter 2 to 1 5v 3pin argb. Then connect it to your motherboard ARGB Header

@@KleoYan Yeah, it seems that's the only way. But, oddly enough, those splitter cables (the few that I can find) are almost the price of some hubs & controllers, lol. At least, 60-70%. Insane. But, THANK YOU for replying & trying to help. Had already subscribed too :)
